Dear Brass Car Friends,

For 2008 the AACA/HCCA Reliability Tour will be in Chattanooga, Tennessee and we are
looking forward to your visit. We have planned a great week of touring and events along with
special guest Jeff Mahl who will be presenting his great-grandfather George Schuster’s story of
winning the 1908 New York to Paris auto race in a Thomas Flyer. Following is the form
necessary for your registration to attend the tour. The headquarters for the tour will be the famous
Chattanooga Choo-Choo. A rundown of the week’s activities is as follows
SUNDAY: Registration will begin at 1:00 at the Chattanooga Choo-Choo.
There will be a get acquainted party at the Choo-Choo on Sunday
evening.

Schedule:


MONDAY: Monday morning will kick off with a “Crank-Up” breakfast for all
tourists at the Choo-Choo. After breakfast we will tour to Soddy
Daisy, Tennessee to visit the home of Horsin’ Around where
magnificent wooden carousel animals are crafted. After lunch the
group will travel back to Chattanooga to Coolidge Park and see
one of the carousels restored by Horsin’ Around. Coker Tire will
be hosting an evening reception for the group at their headquarters.

TUESDAY: Today’s tour will take us through the beautiful countryside of
North Georgia to Cloudland Canyon State Park. Box lunches will be
catered at the Park. The return trip will feature a refreshment stop at
Corky Coker’s Farm. Mileage – 80.

WEDNESDAY: Today our first stop will take us to the Tennessee Valley Railroad
Museum where we will ride the train and get to see their
collection. After the train ride we will travel to Harold and Lil
Coker’s Farm for lunch. The afternoon will be free to kick tires or
go visit attractions or shop in Chattanooga. Wednesday evening
will be a one-man show by special guest Jeff Mahl who will tell
the story of his great-grandfather’s participation in the 1908 NY to
Paris auto race. Mileage - 40

THURSDAY: We will visit Chickamaugua National Battlefield Park and later travel to
Chickamaugua, Georgia for lunch and the opportunity to browse through
the shops in this interesting town. Mileage – 40.

FRIDAY: Today’s tour will take us to the TVA pumped storage facility and
wildlife preserve at Raccoon Mountain. Lunch will be at the Riverside
Catfish Restaurant by the Tennessee River. The afternoon will be on
your own. The banquet will be a river cruise on the Southern Belle.

Vintage clothing is encouraged but not mandatory.

Hotel rate is $80.00 per night. Code HCA will get the special tour rate. Hotel is pet
friendly. Dry RV parking is available in the Choo-Choo parking lots.

The price schedule for tour registration is listed on the registration form. Full and partial
week registrations include Monday crank-up breakfast, lunches for Tuesday, Wednesday,
Friday, Friday night Riverboat Cruise, “The Great Race” show with Jeff Mahl, and
entrance fees to attractions. You will be responsible for your own lunch arrangements on
Thursday. Suggested restaurants will be listed in the tour package. The Monday tour will
have a planned lunch stop; however, you will need to pay for your meal on this day.
